1. About these terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and NERON ("we", "us") for the Namiri app, listed on the App Store as "Namiri: Bebek İsmi Bul". By using Namiri you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The terms of the store you downloaded Namiri from also apply, including, on the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

2. What Namiri does

Namiri helps parents choose a baby name. You answer a few questions about your baby and your family, swipe through names, see the names you and your partner both like, keep a shared shortlist with notes, ask an AI assistant, read the story of each name and let your family vote by link.

3. Who can use Namiri

You must be an adult: at least 18, or the age of majority where you live. Namiri is for parents and parents-to-be, not for children.
You are responsible for what you enter, including your other children's names, and for sharing invite and family vote links only with people you trust.

4. Your account

Namiri creates an anonymous account the first time you open it. You can link it to Sign in with Apple or Google to keep it across phones.
Until you link it, the account cannot be recovered if you delete the app or lose your phone, and we cannot restore it for you.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. The Privacy Policy explains what is deleted.

5. Your household, your partner and the family vote

A household has at most two members. Anyone who has your invite link can join while there is room.
One subscription covers the household: while either member has an active subscription, both get full access. If the subscriber leaves the household or deletes their account, the other member loses that access.
Anyone who has a family vote link can see the names on your shortlist and vote on them for 30 days. The vote and its votes are deleted 30 days after the link closes.

6. Subscriptions, free trial and free mode

6.1 Plans and prices

Namiri Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered weekly or yearly. The price is shown in the app and in the store before you buy. Prices may differ by country, are subject to taxes set by the store and your local rules, and may change; the price the store shows when you buy or renew is the price that applies.

6.2 Free trial

The yearly plan comes with a 3-day free trial. The weekly plan has no trial. The store decides whether you are eligible (a free trial can generally be used once), and the paywall shows the trial only when you can take it.
When the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and you are charged the yearly price unless you cancel before the trial ends. On the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Namiri does not send a reminder before the trial ends, so note the date when you start it.
Apple notes that if you cancel during a free trial, you may lose access straight away.

6.3 Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. On the App Store, turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends; on Google Play, cancel before the renewal date.
iPhone and iPad: open Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Namiri › Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play Store › your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Namiri › Cancel subscription.
After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Deleting the app or your Namiri account does not cancel a subscription.
To restore a purchase on a new phone, tap Restore purchases in the app while signed in to the same Apple or Google account you bought with.

6.4 Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we do not collect or store payment details and cannot issue refunds ourselves. Refunds are decided by the store under its own policy: for Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, for Google Play through the Google Play refund options.

6.5 Free mode

If you close the paywall, you can keep using Namiri in a limited free mode: up to 10 names a day from our catalog, your partner invite and your matches. AI suggestions and their reasons, Ask, name stories, fit and checks, the family vote and unlimited swiping need a subscription.

6.6 Fair use

AI features have daily usage limits per account so the service stays available to everyone.

7. AI-generated content and name information

Suggestions, their reasons, Ask answers, name stories, fit notes and checks are written by AI (Anthropic's Claude models). They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date.
Meanings and origins confirmed by a licensed source are marked as verified in the app. Other meanings were drafted by AI. A name the AI suggests that is not in our catalog is labelled as an AI suggestion.
The checks for meanings in other languages and teasing risk are a help, not a guarantee.
Namiri does not check whether a name will be accepted for registration or meets the naming rules of your country. Check with the office where you will register the birth.
Choosing the name is your decision. Namiri gives no legal or other professional advice.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use notes, Ask or the family vote for anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or abusive.
Do not try to read another household's data, get around the paywall or the usage limits, or overload our servers.
Do not copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law or the open data licences in section 9 allow it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

9. Name data and credits

Name meanings, origins, pronunciations and popularity come from openly licensed sources, credited in the app under Settings › Sources & licences. They include:

10. Intellectual property

The Namiri app, its design, mascot, code and text are owned by NERON. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app. Names themselves belong to no one: you are free to give your child any name you find in Namiri. You may use AI-written text and share cards for personal purposes. The open data in section 9 stays under its own licences.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY THAT NAME MEANINGS, ORIGINS, POPULARITY OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT ARE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
NERON IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY DECISION MADE ON THE BASIS OF CONTENT IN THE APP.
NERON'S TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

12. Ending use and changes to the service

You can stop using Namiri at any time and delete your account in Settings.
We may change, suspend or discontinue Namiri or any of its features.
Sections 7, 9, 10 and 11 continue to apply after you stop using the app.

13. Privacy

Your use of Namiri is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, the AI processing by Anthropic, how long we keep data and how account deletion works.

14. General

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and NERON about Namiri.
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date above; if you keep using Namiri after a change, the updated terms apply.
