How much storage do AI models require?
Model sizes range from under 1 GB for the smallest models to several GB for the largest; the size is shown before you download. Make sure you have enough free storage on your device before downloading. You can delete models you no longer use to free up space.
Which devices are compatible with Cortis?
Cortis runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later and on Android 7.0 or later. Your device needs enough memory for the model you pick, and the app recommends models by device memory. Smaller models run on more devices than larger ones.
How do I download an AI model?
Open the app and go to the Models tab. Select the model you want to download and tap "Download". Models are downloaded from Hugging Face servers. Make sure you have a stable internet connection — larger models may take several minutes to download.
Do I need an internet connection to use Cortis?
You need a connection to download AI models. Once a model is downloaded, it runs on your device. Conversations with a downloaded model run on your device. A connection is needed to download models, for purchases and for a Remote Server.
How do I restore my Cortis Pro purchase?
Go to the paywall screen and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Cortis Pro is available as a one-time lifetime purchase or a monthly subscription; Restore Purchases brings back whichever you bought.
The app is crashing or a model is not responding
Try closing and reopening the app. If a specific model crashes, it may be too large for your device's available memory. Try a smaller model. Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store. If problems persist, contact us with your device model and iOS version.
Why are some models marked as Pro?
The free plan includes smaller models. Pro unlocks larger and more capable models; the Models tab shows which models each plan includes.
Where is my conversation data stored?
Conversations and downloaded models stay on your phone and are not uploaded by Cortis. There are no accounts and no cloud sync. Cortis collects anonymous usage and crash data by default until you answer the consent sheet shown after the introduction (accept all, crash reports only, or decline). If you add a Remote Server (Pro), your chats go to the server you choose. Purchases are handled by Apple or Google and RevenueCat. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device.
