Delete your Food Symptom Detective data
Food Symptom Detective has no sign-up and no account. The food, symptom and wellness entries you create are stored on your device only, and we do not run servers that receive them. This page says how to delete them, and how to ask about the little data held by the app's service providers. See also the privacy policy.
Your entries (on your device)
- Meals, foods, symptoms, wellness details (stress, sleep, hydration, exercise, medication, menstrual cycle information) and notes are kept in the app's local database on your device.
- Delete the app and all of its data is deleted with it. We cannot see, recover or restore your entries, so this cannot be undone.
- You can delete entries or clear data inside the app.
- A report or export you created is a file on your device (or wherever you chose to share it). Delete it there; it is not stored by us.
Data held by service providers
None of these receives the content of your entries; only counts, levels and yes/no flags are sent.
- RevenueCat holds an anonymous app user ID with your purchase and subscription status. revenuecat.com/privacy
- Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics hold anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Apple App Store and Google Play process your payments under their own terms and privacy policies. Ask them directly about purchase records. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription; manage that in your App Store or Google Play settings.
Ask us to delete or look into it
To ask us about, correct or delete the information in the section above, write to [email protected] and say which app and platform (iPhone or Android) it concerns. We have no account system, and the data above is anonymous and are not shown inside the app, so tell us anything that helps us find the record; where a record cannot be matched to you, we will tell you so.
You may also complain to your local data protection authority (privacy policy, section 8).
