1. Introduction

NERON ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Persona AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous usage data that helps us understand how our app is used and improve user experience. This includes:

  • Screen views and feature interactions
  • App version and device information (device model, operating system version)
  • General location data (country/region level, derived from IP address)
  • Session duration and frequency

We use Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to automatically collect crash reports and error data when the app encounters issues. This includes:

  • Crash stack traces and error messages
  • Device state at time of crash (memory, storage, battery)
  • App version and operating system version

This data is processed by Google under their Firebase Privacy Policy. Analytics data is anonymized and does not personally identify you. You can opt out of analytics collection through your device settings.

2.2 Authentication

Persona AI uses anonymous authentication only via Firebase Authentication. We do not require or collect any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or password. Your account is identified solely by an anonymous user ID.

2.3 Payment Data

All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed securely by Apple (App Store) and/or Google (Google Play) through RevenueCat. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. We only receive anonymous purchase confirmation data (e.g., subscription status) from RevenueCat to manage your access to premium features.

2.4 AI-Generated Content

Characters, episodes, voice samples, and other AI-generated content you create within the App are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store your created content on our servers beyond what is necessary for the AI generation process itself.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the App's functionality
  • To process AI generation requests (character images, voice synthesis, episodes)
  • To manage subscription status and credit balances
  • To improve the App through anonymous analytics and crash reporting
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve stability

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, we process your data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Legitimate Interest: Anonymous analytics and crash reporting to improve the App.
  • Contract Performance: Processing necessary to provide the App's core functionality and manage subscriptions.
  • Consent: Where required by law, we obtain your consent before collecting specific data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

6. Data Storage and Retention

All user-created content (characters, episodes, voice samples) is stored locally on your device. This data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App. Anonymous analytics data is retained in aggregated form and cannot be used to identify individual users.

7. Data Transfers

When you use AI generation features, data is temporarily sent to third-party AI services (FAL.ai) for processing. These services may process data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with GDPR requirements.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request information about the data we process about you.
  • Deletion: Delete all your local data by uninstalling the App, or request deletion of any server-side data by contacting us.
  • Portability: Your content is stored locally and you have full access to it on your device.
  • Objection: Object to processing of your data for analytics purposes.
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Complaint: Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

9. Children's Privacy

Persona AI is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
